CBGM - Shaped Dimensional Challenge - 3 March

Hello and welcome back to my blog.

It's now time for another challenge by Creations By Gill M.   I am part of the Design Team at Creations By Gill M and as a team, we provide the inspiration for the challenges.  You can take part too and enter the challenges.  There are just 3 small things you have to do:
  • Be a follower of both mine and  Creations By Gill M's blog
  • Mention that you are entering the challenge from Creations By Gill M within the entry
  • Complete the Mr Linky details on the challenge page which, when filled in, will take people to your blog entry for the challenge
The specification of this challenge is to create a card project that is an unusual shape and is dimensional.  So that's something to really think about!

Giving dimension to a handmade card makes it stand out more from other shop bought cards.  The use of silicone glue and 3D foam is a common and very effective way of providing dimension in a card.  You just have to remember that when sending it through the post as Mr Postman often adds on the postage costs and is also known to squeeze them through the smallest of slots and post boxes!!

This is the card I made following the design spec.

To make this card, I used the following:

Princess Pinflair Easel Card
Pink Cardstock
From Me To You Decoupage Image
From Me To You Sentiments- "For You Mum" and "Wishing You a Very Happy Birthday"
From Me To You Yellow Backing Paper
From Me To You Yellow Polka Dot Border
Adhesive Gems
Adhesive Pearls
Pinflair Glue
Double Sided Sticky Tape
Corner Punch

It's such an unusual card!  Obviously I've made easel cards in the past, but not this kind of easel!!

It was my Mums birthday on the 29th of January and she loved the card!  Oh, by the way, I wrote on the back of the main image, or the "canvas" part!

Look forward to seeing what you make.  Myself and the other Design Team members love receiving feedback about our projects and we always leave feedback for all the entrants in the challenge!  So please feel free to leave a comment and we'll be sure to leave some too!

Happy crafting!

Lisa xx
