Ice Skating Card

Here's a card I've made for my friends little girl, Molly.  She's 11 tomorrow and loves ice skating.

As you can see it's a spinner card.  I made it using the following materials:

A4 White card, scored in 1/2 with an apperture cut out.
12x12 Blue Patterned Paper
Printed Image
Blue Mirror Card
Silver Peel Offs
Diamond and Blue Stickles
Adhesive Gems
Blue Ribbon
Double Sided Sticky Tape
3D foam

I really hope she likes it!

Big thank you to Nikki Smith who gave me some help making a spinner card.  Didn't follow the steps exactly, but it definitely helped!

Look forward to hearing what you think of it, so please leave a comment.

Thanks again,

Lisa xx

The Dance Blog Hop - 5 May

Hello and welcome to The Dance Blog Hop.

This hop is being hosted by Gill McCall at Creations By Gill M.  You should have arrived here from Anita's Blog.  If not, please go back to Gill's Blog to start at the beginning.

So, let's start!

I'm not a big fan of dancing but when I saw this image, I knew it was perfect for this challenge.  I picked the image from the Hunky Dory Adorable Scorable pack.  It's beautiful!  So here it is:

I used the following materials to make this card:

A4 Cream Card
Hunky Dory Adorable Scorable Pack
Double Sided Sticky Tape
3D Foam
Adhesive Gems
Satin Ribbon
Organza Ribbon
Gold Peel Offs
Crop-A-Dile

I'm using this card for a wedding I'm going to this year.  Not saying who though as I'm going to more than 1 and they might see this post!!

I'm the last person on this blog hop.  So on behalf of all the other bloggers in the line up, can I just thank you for stopping by and for leaving a comment!

CBGM - Spots & Stripes Challenge - 5 May

Hello and welcome back to my blog.

Apologies for 1) the layout of this entry, Blogger seems to want to change the fonts and templates I use!  Grrr!!!  2)  The lateness of this post.  Had no idea it had come around to that time again!  But here I am now and I hope you enjoy what I've made.

It's now time for another challenge by Creations By Gill M.   I am part of the Design Team at Creations By Gill M and as a team, we provide the inspiration for the challenges.  You can take part too and enter the challenges.  There are just 3 small things you have to do:

  • Be a follower of both mine and  Creations By Gill M's blog
  • Mention that you are entering the challenge from Creations By Gill M within the entry
  • Complete the Mr Linky details on the challenge page which, when filled in, will take people to your blog entry for the challenge

The specification of this challenge is to create a card project which incorporates stripes and spots, either as a feature or in backing papers.

This is the card I made following the design spec.

To make this card, I used the following:

6x6 Scallop Card Blank
Stripey & Spotty Metallic Backing Paper
Blue Mirror Card
Pink Mirror Card
"21" topper
Pink Dotty Ribbon
"Happy Birthday" embellishment
Key embellishment
Pink Stickles
Crystal stickers
Adhesive gems
Double Sided Sticky Tape
3D Foam
Pinflair Glue

Look forward to seeing what you make.  Myself and the other Design Team members love receiving feedback about our projects and we always leave feedback for all the entrants in the challenge!  So please feel free to leave a comment and we'll be sure to leave some too!

Happy crafting!
