I have been asked to take part in this blog hop to celebrate Fairy Day. The blog hop has been created by Gill McCall at http://creationsbygillm.blogspot.com and you can find out more about the hop there. We have been asked to make items with a fairy theme. You can see my creations further down in this post, I hope you like them and would love to receive any comments you may have. I really enjoyed making them and being able to use fairy themed elements as I don't often use fairies in the cards I make.
You should have arrived here from Theresa's blog Theresa's Blog. If you haven't, start at Gill's Blog and hop, (or fly) through all the participants of the hop, they've got some amazing fairy themed projects!
There's an added element of excitement to this blog hop too! Some of the participants of the hop have secret letters hidden within their blog post. Try to collect all the letters over the 2 days to spell out a fairy themed word. Once you think you know what the word is, enter the Mr Linky on Gill's Blog, just put your name, don't reveal the word! If you're the lucky name picked at random, Gill will then contact you to get your answer. If it's right, you could win some fabulous card candy!!!
These are the projects I have made for the blog hop:
This is a 6x6" card made using smooth A4 white cardstock. I matt and layered the main image (from a Paper Cellar paper pack) onto two shades of blue textured card. I stuck the base blue card with double sided sticky tape and then the lighter blue card with 3D foam. I decorated the fairy image with blue and silver gems. The sentiment "Believe In Your Dreams" came from a 12x12 Tinkerbell scrapbook paper and is matt and layered on dark blue textured card stock and adhered with 3d foam to the main card base. I've also entered this card into the current challenge for the design team I am on. You can view and enter the Shades Of Blue Challenge by going to the Creations By Gill M Blog. So I hope you like my creations, and as I said, I would love to hear any comments you may have, good or bad! I think it's really important to get positive and negative feedback from other crafters as it's a great way to improve your skills. To carry on with the hop, fly on to Nicolette's Blog and see what she has made for this exciting blog hop. Thank you so much for stopping by, good luck and enjoy the hop! xxxx |
